Story

In the year 2000, the Harvesters suddenly arrived through a mysterious portal in outer space. The mindless scavengers roamed Earth’s orbit, swarming satellites, space stations and any other human-made materials they could find.

In response, Earth’s militaries launched a counterattack, unaware of the Harvesters’ true abilities.

Under fire, the alien swarm transformed, turning the debris around it into weapons and armor. Earth’s Interplanetary Combat Force was quickly obliterated.

Since then, the Harvesters have held Earth’s orbit hostage, collecting materials and attacking any ships that get too close. Junk and resources are launched into space daily in the hopes the fearsome swarm will stay placated.

But, over two decades on, things have grown dire. As resources dwindle and cities grow more crowded, there are rumors that the world’s landfills can no longer keep up with Harvester collection rates.

As fears of an invasion grow, a contest is announced.
